View source for 8-Bit Is A Medium

Talk about how 8-bit isn't obsolete, it is a medium for creation. 

Nintendo had no reason to sunset the NES, because it was a medium. The future of the console was everyone being able to develop on it and make their own game, publish their own physical game. It leads to greater things, like 16 Bit or a 3D game. Working within the restriction of 8 bit will unluck creative genius.
